Foreign currency exchange rates against the Sudanese pound in the parallel market witnessed a sudden surge on Thursday, recording significant increases.

Parallel market traders reported that the exchange rate of the US dollar reached 2,679 SDG, while the Saudi riyal was at 714.4 SDG, and the Emirati dirham stood at 729.972 SDG. The euro was traded at 2,911.95 SDG, the British pound at 3,479.22 SDG, and the Egyptian pound at 52.892 SDG. Meanwhile, the Bahraini dinar was valued at 7,050 SDG, the Qatari riyal at 733.972 SDG, the Omani rial at 7,050 SDG, and the Kuwaiti dinar at 8,641.93 SDG.
