Approval of the Report on Humanitarian Conditions in IDP Centers and Camps in Al-Fashir

The Committee for Studying Humanitarian Conditions in North Darfur State approved its report today during a meeting at the General Secretariat of the Government in Al-Fashir. The meeting was chaired by the acting governor of North Darfur, Al-Hafiz Bakhit Mohamed.
Acting Secretary-General of the state government, Ahmadi Abdullah Adam Khater, revealed that the meeting thoroughly discussed the committee’s report, which focused on the latest displacement in villages and rural areas of Al-Fashir due to the brutal attack launched earlier by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia.
In a press statement, Khater stated that the committee decided to provide aid to vulnerable groups in IDP camps and shelters in Al-Fashir to alleviate the severe living crisis.
He added that the governor appreciated the committee’s efforts, which include the Executive Director of Al-Fashir Locality, the Acting Director General of the Ministry of Finance, Economy, and Civil Service, the Director General of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Development, and the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner in the state.
