On Friday morning, the Sudanese army successfully liberated the Republican Palace in central Khartoum from the grip of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
For days, the army engaged in fierce battles in central Khartoum to regain control of the presidential palace. These battles ultimately resulted in the defeat and expulsion of the militia.
