The Governor of Al-Jazira, Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair, announced that the state government is fully committed to restoring electricity across the region and will mobilize all resources to ensure stable power supply.
During an inspection of restoration efforts in Al-Zamalek neighborhood in Wad Madani, the governor praised the dedication of workers in transmission, distribution, and sales companies, as well as the close monitoring by Minister of Urban Planning, Engineer Abu Bakr Abdullah. He urged them to intensify efforts to provide electricity to all residents.
The Minister of Urban Planning and Public Utilities stated that new areas will be reconnected to electricity daily, following a gradual restoration plan due to significant damage to transformers.
He confirmed that the Zamalek transformer will supply power to both Al-Zamalek and Al-Waha neighborhoods. He also urged residents to inspect their electrical connections, particularly in homes that were looted during the war, affecting air conditioning units and wiring.
