Sudan Events – Reports
The air force carried out precise airstrikes targeting Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia gatherings in the Abu Humayrah area of North Darfur, destroying 10 combat vehicles (Land Cruisers) with full military equipment and 5 large trucks (trailers) carrying recruited fighters (“Fazzaa”) and military supplies.
In its daily briefing, the 6th Infantry Division stated that the air force also targeted 6 militia combat vehicles (including pickups and cargo trucks) in the Kilo 10 area near the eastern bus terminal of El Fasher, neutralizing them. The statement further noted the withdrawal of 50 militia combat vehicles and fighters from around El Fasher due to shortages in logistical and medical supplies. The retreating forces, led by Abu Al-Qasim Taha, reportedly headed towards Kebkabiya, Forbranga, and Geneina, eventually crossing into Chad.
The 6th Infantry Division also revealed an outbreak of internal fighting among the militia in the Jaqojqo area east of El Fasher due to the failure to distribute monthly salaries, which had been seized by militia leaders. This internal conflict disrupted the militia’s planned attack on El Fasher.
The briefing further highlighted that this chaos has directly affected RSF forces in the Wana and Faja mountains and the outskirts of El Fasher, with potential signs of further withdrawals.
Meanwhile, the RSF launched random shelling on some neighborhoods of El Fasher using 120mm and 82mm mortars, coinciding with Ramadan iftar time. The shelling resumed at 8:30 PM, resulting in severe civilian injuries, with victims taken to hospitals and health centers.
