The commander of the Sudan Shield Forces, General Abu Aqila Kikel, revealed that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia is close to being defeated in Darfur and South Kordofan. He emphasized that full control over Khartoum means surpassing the hardest phase of the war, as the “enemy” was using high-rise buildings in the cities to deploy snipers.
Kikel confirmed, according to Al Jazeera Net, that the Sudanese army has extensive experience in fighting in open areas, considering that the war is over, and the current phase is one of celebration. He also stated that after joining the RSF, he realized the falseness of their slogans, which prompted him to return to the right path and join the Sudanese army.
