Ports Authority Director: The Authority is Prepared for the Post-War Phase

The Director-General of the Sea Ports Authority, Engineer Al-Jailani Mohammed Al-Jailani, congratulated the armed forces and their partners on the battlefield for the successive victories that led to the liberation of the entire Khartoum State.
He announced the authority’s readiness for the post-war and reconstruction phase during his speech at the Ports Night event on Thursday evening at the Marine Ports Club, under the title “Marine Ports: Challenges and Future Prospects.”
He praised the role of the media in the “Dignity Battle,” describing the war as an undeniable media war.
Meanwhile, the representative of the marketing and clearance department at the Sea Ports Authority, Abdullah Hussein, confirmed their readiness to meet the requirements of reconstruction and humanitarian aid in the coming period. He stated that the ports are prepared in terms of human resources, handling equipment, and docks to fully carry out their role in receiving reconstruction materials and humanitarian aid from all sources. He also highlighted the ports’ role in supporting the armed forces by providing logistical support, as they serve as Sudan’s only gateway for receiving war supplies and military support.
Abdullah pointed to the developments within the authority, especially in the container port, driven by the need for faster handling and better cargo preservation. He noted that the number of handling docks increased from 8 to 10, with the addition of two gantry cranes and two rubber-tired cranes.
