Sharp Rise in Eid Supplies Prices

Citizens have complained about a significant increase in the prices of Eid al-Fitr supplies, particularly children’s clothing and sweets.

Rawiya Taj El-Din stated that the price of girls’ children’s outfits has exceeded 40,000 Sudanese pounds, while boys’ outfits have reached 35,000 pounds. Shoe prices have also seen an unprecedented rise, ranging between 18,000 and 30,000 pounds.

Nihad Ahmed pointed to the rising prices of Eid baking supplies, with the price of one kilogram of sweets reaching 9,000 pounds, while a bedspread set is now priced at 13,000 pounds.
