Sudan Events – Reports
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, stated that there will be no negotiations or compromises with those who have violated the sanctities of the Sudanese people. He affirmed that the Armed Forces and their supporting forces will continue their battle to eliminate the rebellion and defeat the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia.
In his speech to the Sudanese people on Saturday, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Al-Burhan emphasized that the Armed Forces stand equidistant from all citizens and do not favor any party over another. He called on all citizens living in areas under rebel control to distance themselves from supporting the colonialist project of the Al-Dagalo militia and to protect their sons from this terrorist militia.
Below is the full text of the speech by the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.”
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. Praise be to Allah, the Giver of strength and the Bestower of victory. Praise be to Allah who granted victory to the people and soldiers of Sudan. Praise be to Allah who lifted oppression and injustice from many of my countrymen. I send blessings and peace upon our master Muhammad, the teacher, the fulfiller, and the inspired.
Honorable Citizens
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. I wish you and the nation a blessed Eid.
We pray to Allah to accept the sacrifices of our martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of the nation and its people. They are more honorable than all of us. We also wish a speedy recovery to the wounded and injured, and a safe return to the prisoners and missing.
Honorable Citizens
This war, ignited by the Al-Dagalo militia and its collaborators and supporters, has entered its third year. It has inflicted upon the nation and its people the worst horrors of war. The atrocities committed against our people, the bitterness inflicted upon them by these criminals — the images, voices, and ongoing wounds — make it impossible to compromise with these criminals and their supporters.
I say, in the voice of the displaced, the exiled, those whose wealth has been looted, the besieged, the grieving mothers, the orphans, and the martyrs: we will not forgive, we will not compromise, we will not negotiate, and we will not abandon our covenant with the martyrs.
Honorable Citizens
Your armed forces — the people’s armed forces — have realized the slogan of “One People, One Army” in its truest form. They have earned the title bestowed upon them by the founding generation: they are from the people and for the people. The people have borne them through their wounds and sorrows, offering their finest sons to the cause. Thus, the armed forces have risen and triumphed through you, and you have triumphed through them.
Thank you, people of Sudan, wherever you are. You are the strength, the fuel, the owners of victory, and the people of merit. Thanks, first and last, to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. The joy of victory will not be complete until the last rebel is eradicated from the last corner of Sudan.
Proud Sudanese People
The path to peace and ending the war remains open. The suffering of our people in areas controlled by the terrorist militia, the siege, destruction, and killings, especially in El-Fasher, and the need to spread peace and security across the nation — all of this is possible. The path is clear: the rebel militia must lay down their arms, or justice will prevail over the aggressor.
Honorable Citizens
I assure you that the Armed Forces stand equidistant from all citizens who support and defend Sudan and justice. They do not favor any side over another. This war of dignity has separated the pure from the corrupt and the patriotic from the mercenary.
I extend greetings and reverence to the groups that supported and fought alongside the regular forces from various entities and regions — particularly the fighters in North Darfur and Kordofan for their patience and resilience under siege. We are coming to your aid. The same goes for other regions of Sudan, and above all, for our resilient and steadfast people. The path to victory is clear, and the people’s choice will not be thwarted until Sudan is completely cleansed of the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia.
I also wish to thank Sudan’s brothers and friends from nations and organizations who have worked with the government and the people, supporting them in preserving the unity, security, and stability of the Sudanese state. Rebuilding the state and its infrastructure still requires additional efforts. On behalf of the Sudanese people, I repeat my gratitude to the brothers and friends of our country.
Dear Citizens
I renew the pledge of the Armed Forces to the people: there will be no retreat from defeating and crushing the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia. Nevertheless, the doors of the nation remain open to those who use reason and repent to the truth from among the armed rebels. General amnesty and resolution of military matters are still possible and available.
Here, I call upon our people in areas under rebel control to withdraw their support for the colonialist project of Al-Dagalo and to protect their sons from being led to ruin. A united Sudan — land and people — is a historical trust that must not be compromised.
In Conclusion
I once again extend Eid al-Fitr greetings to you, the people of my country. I ask Allah to accept your fasting, prayers, and struggles. May Eid return to us with our nation in the best condition — united, safe, and free from rebellion and conflict.
Allah is Greatest — Victory is from Allah and a near conquest
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
