The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, confirmed that the government at the highest level is concerned with the situation in the Al-Jumou’iya area in the southern rural part of Omdurman.

He stated that the Khartoum State Security Coordination Committee, in cooperation with representatives from the local community, has made significant breakthroughs aimed at countering the defeated militia’s attacks and delivering food aid to the citizens.

The governor announced during his meeting on Monday with a delegation from Al-Jumou’iya, led by the deputy tribal leader, Mokh Mohammed Ajib Al-Hadi, that the state would send additional assistance to the residents of Al-Jumou’iya.

The deputy tribal leader provided an update on the violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces militia, explaining that more than 45 citizens have been killed and hundreds injured. The militia also forcibly displaced citizens and looted food and medical supplies.
