Instructions Issued to Monitor Wheat Harvest in Al-Jazirah

Governor of the Al-Jazirah Scheme, Ibrahim Mustafa, instructed section managers and field inspectors to remain on-site during the Eid al-Fitr holiday to monitor the wheat harvest and allocate shares according to the agricultural cycle, in preparation for implementing the “Abu Ashreenat Digger” program for the new agricultural season.

He called on farmers to be present in the fields to clean up trees, weeds, and harmful plants, and to remove the mesquite tree. He also confirmed that the next stage will see an increase in excavation machinery to remove silt and weeds from canals and irrigation channels as part of the summer work program for irrigation management.
