The Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization has reiterated its warnings about the dangers of fireworks and explosive toys, urging families to protect children and prevent them from handling these items. The organization confirmed that such items are banned and not allowed into the country.

In a press statement under the “Safe Eid” initiative, the agency called for collective efforts to make Eid al-Fitr safe and filled with joy, celebrating the victories of the armed forces.

The organization also provided several safety recommendations for protecting children, including keeping fireworks out of their reach, ensuring adult supervision during playtime, educating children about the risks of fireworks, and providing safe alternatives for entertainment.

Additionally, it urged market vendors, shop owners, gift stores, and bookstores to refrain from selling or purchasing fireworks and to avoid participating in this illegal trade.
