French Cup: Reims Defeats Caen and Joins PSG in the Final

Stade de Reims has advanced to the French Cup final after ending the impressive run of fourth-tier side Caen with a 2-1 victory on Wednesday, setting up a title clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ligue 1 side secured the win with goals from Hafez Ibrahim and Teddy Teuma, with Teuma netting the decisive goal after Caen had equalized through Cheikh N’Doye.
Caen, a club that has produced stars like Zinedine Zidane and Patrick Vieira and won the French Cup in 1932, was hoping to recapture past glory. However, Reims took the lead in the 14th minute when Ibrahim scored from a cross.
Caen equalized seven minutes into the second half through a header from N’Doye, but Teuma restored Reims’ lead just six minutes later after receiving a pass from Ibrahim.
Reims will face PSG in the final at Stade de France on May 24.
