Women’s World Cup: USA the Sole Candidate for 2031… and Britain for 2035

The United States has become the sole candidate to host the 2031 Women’s World Cup, while Britain will host the 2035 edition, according to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who made the announcement on Thursday.
Speaking at the UEFA Congress in Belgrade, Infantino said that the only bid submitted for 2031 was from the United States, with the possibility of other CONCACAF members joining. Meanwhile, the 2035 edition is set to take place in Europe, specifically in the United Kingdom.
He added: “The path is open for the Women’s World Cup in 2031 and 2035 to be hosted in major countries and by major nations, further strengthening the women’s football movement.”
Brazil is set to host the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
