Darfur Regional Governor Minni Arko Minnawi has assured the people of El Fasher that the liberation of all Sudanese lands from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia will come soon.
In a Facebook post, Minnawi stated, “Our people in El Fasher have suffered from a harsh siege based on ethnic and racial grounds.”
He added, “They have been deprived of the most basic necessities of life—food and water—yet despite their suffering, they have refused to abandon their land to the new settlers.”
“We reaffirm our commitment to liberate our people from the grip of hunger and disease. Deep gratitude to all Sudanese who are making sacrifices to provide food for our people in El Fasher. These difficult days will soon be over, and we will all celebrate together as a proud Sudanese nation the liberation of our lands from the grip of the Dagalo militia terrorists.”
