The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced on Friday that it is investigating the activities of companies linked to the RSF militia that have been sanctioned by the United States due to their involvement in the Sudan conflict.
The UAE Ministry of Justice stated that the seven companies targeted by U.S. sanctions for their ties to the RSF do not hold valid commercial licenses in the country. It further announced that investigations are underway into their activities and the individuals associated with them.
“The Ministry affirms that none of these seven companies possess a valid commercial license in the UAE, nor do they conduct any business within the country,” the statement read.
The ministry emphasized that UAE authorities continue to monitor all potential suspicious activities in accordance with the country’s laws.
