The Security Committee of Khartoum State has approved the passage of citizens across the bridges connecting the state’s three cities—Omdurman, Khartoum, and Bahri—starting Saturday, to inspect their homes and properties.
Khartoum State Governor, Ahmed Othman Hamza, visited areas in southern Khartoum in the Jebel Aulia locality after they were liberated, and assessed the needs of the citizens.
The governor revealed the state’s plan for areas cleared of the rebel militia, starting with security measures including the completion of local security committees, reopening police stations, and forming a security cell to address lawlessness and negative phenomena.
