Crop Prices Rise in Gedaref Commodity Exchange

Crop prices have seen a noticeable increase in the Gedaref Commodity Exchange.

On Sunday, the price of a quintal of sesame ranged between SDG 160,000 and 175,000 in cash transactions, while prices were even higher on digital platforms such as “Bankak” and “O-Kash.”

The price of an ardeb of sorghum (fetreeta) ranged between SDG 150,000 and 165,000, while an ardeb of red sorghum (aker) was priced between SDG 190,000 and 195,000.
An ardeb of white sorghum (dabar) reached between SDG 250,000 and 290,000, and red millet was priced at SDG 220,000 to 225,000 per ardeb.
The price of a ton of groundnuts ranged around SDG 2,300,000, while a 36-pound jerrycan of sesame oil reached SDG 145,000.
