Minister of Energy: We Hope for a Return to Normal Operations Soon

Sudan Events – Follow-ups
Minister of Energy and Oil, Mohieddin Naeem Mohamed Saeed, stated that the ministry had major responsibilities which it successfully fulfilled under pressure during the past period.
During Eid al-Fitr greetings to staff at the ministry’s headquarters in Port Sudan, the minister announced the defeat of the enemy and the completion of victory. He expressed hope for a return to normal operations with the full workforce soon, praising employees for their efforts and resilience during the recent period.
He noted that the ministry had been operating under emergency conditions, which increased the workload on staff and required a high level of readiness—even during official holidays—as only about 20% of the workforce was physically present, with others working remotely.
The minister thanked the staff for their patience and endurance, commending their success over the past two years. He expressed hope that next Eid would be celebrated at the Ministry of Energy and Oil’s headquarters in Khartoum.
