The United States has announced the cancellation of all visas previously granted to citizens of South Sudan.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that he has decided to revoke all visas issued to South Sudanese citizens and to halt the issuance of new visas. He added that the decision comes as a result of the transitional government’s refusal in South Sudan to accept the return of its deported citizens from the United States.
