Starting Direct Cash Support for Targeted Segments in Northern State

The Director of the Poverty Projects Coordination Department at the General Secretariat of Social Affairs in the Northern State, Mrs. Mona Salah El-Din, confirmed that all arrangements have been completed to begin the process of disbursing direct cash support for the poor, families of martyrs, individuals with chronic diseases, and people with disabilities, starting from Sunday, April 13, for one week in Dongola locality.
In a statement to (SUNA), she mentioned that a timetable had been set for each locality, starting with Dongola locality and ending with Merowe locality. She added that the disbursement procedures for beneficiaries in Halfa locality began at the end of the holy month of Ramadan and are still ongoing at the Savings and Social Development Bank in Halfa branch.
Mona urged all citizens benefiting from the direct cash support program to go to the designated disbursement locations in the localities according to the timetable, bringing a copy of their national ID and a photograph for the issuance of a card for each beneficiary. She also stated that starting next month, the disbursements would be made through a card at the Savings and Social Development Bank, after accounts were opened for all beneficiaries of the program, totaling 7,696 beneficiaries, each receiving 50,000 Sudanese pounds monthly.
