Army: Situation Under Control in El Fasher and Zamzam Camp

The Armed Forces have confirmed that the security situation in El Fasher city and the Zamzam IDP camp is stable, following the repulsion of a new attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia from the southeast side of the camp.

In a statement, the 6th Infantry Division said that the Popular Resistance Forces and mobilized troops managed to thwart attack number 202 in a heroic battle that embodied legendary resilience and unwavering determination.

According to the 6th Division, army-operated drones successfully destroyed four combat vehicles attempting to infiltrate the southeastern part of the city—reflecting a high level of readiness and full preparedness of the Armed Forces.

The statement also indicated that the RSF militia launched random drone attacks on residential neighborhoods inside the city, resulting in the martyrdom of eight civilians and injuries to three others, who were transferred to hospitals and health centers for treatment.

The division confirmed that the militia’s continued shelling targeted unarmed civilians, but army artillery responded decisively, forcing the attackers to retreat and withdraw.

The 6th Division reassured citizens that full control over the situation remains intact in El Fasher and Zamzam Camp, stressing that victory is near.

It also confirmed the safety of comrade Hanadi, who sent her greetings from within the steadfast Zamzam camp.
