
Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Saturday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the bilateral relations between their countries and discussed ways to support and strengthen them. They also explored areas of mutual cooperation across various fields and how to further develop them for the benefit of both nations.
The discussions also touched on the developments in Sudan, efforts to achieve peace, and plans for reconstruction and development. They also addressed key regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council expressed his appreciation for Turkey’s supportive stance toward Sudan in regional and international forums, its efforts to uphold Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, its continuous support to the Sudanese people, and its humanitarian assistance during the Sudanese crisis.
For his part, President Erdogan welcomed the visit of the Sovereignty Council Chairman, praised the strong bilateral ties, and affirmed his commitment to advancing them further in pursuit of mutual interests of the two brotherly nations.
He reiterated Turkey’s keenness to continue supporting Sudan and backing all efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and peace in the country, affirming Turkey’s solidarity with the Sudanese people and government in overcoming current challenges.
