Saudi Arabia Condemns Militia Attacks on “Zamzam” and “Abu Shouk” Camps

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation and denunciation of the attacks on the Zamzam and Abu Shouk displacement camps near El Fasher, western Sudan, which resulted in numerous casualties—constituting a violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

In its statement, the Ministry reiterated Saudi Arabia’s rejection of these violations, stressing the need to ensure the protection of humanitarian and relief workers, halt the attacks, avoid targeting civilians, and uphold the commitments made in the Jeddah Declaration.
