Stability in Crop Prices

Agricultural crop prices at the Al-Nuhud Commodities Exchange remained generally stable during Saturday’s trading, with minor fluctuations observed in some crops, according to Radi Ali Baraka, the auction manager at the exchange.
Baraka explained that the price of a quintal of peanuts remained steady at SDG 33,000 for cash payments and SDG 37,000 for electronic payments. Shelled peanuts also maintained their price at SDG 1,050,000 for cash and SDG 1,150,000 for electronic transactions per ton.
Regarding gum arabic, the quintal price saw a slight decrease, with the cash sale price dropping to SDG 190,000 compared to SDG 195,000 previously, while the electronic payment price remained stable at SDG 210,000.
The auction manager noted that the prices of sesame and hibiscus remained largely unchanged, with sesame holding at SDG 50,000 in cash and SDG 60,000 electronically, and hibiscus at SDG 50,000 in cash and SDG 70,000 electronically.
