Wolfsburg Signs Zicai to Boost Women’s Team for Next Season

German club VfL Wolfsburg has announced that it has bolstered its women’s team by signing Kora Zicai from rival side SC Freiburg, starting next season.
Wolfsburg, two-time UEFA Women’s Champions League winners and seven-time domestic champions, said on Wednesday that 20-year-old Zicai will join the team on a free transfer with a contract running until 2028.
Zicai, born in Freiburg, has been with the club since 2017 and played for all youth national teams before making her debut with the senior German national team, where she has already scored two goals in three official appearances.
She is expected to be part of Germany’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 tournament in Switzerland this July.
Zicai stated that Wolfsburg “has shown its strength over the years and the level it can compete at.”
