A Sovereign Official Announces the Recovery of Data and Documents Related to Company Records

The Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Team Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, chaired a meeting on Wednesday at the General Commercial Registrar’s office in Port Sudan. The meeting included the committees for networking and exports/imports at ports and airports, with the presence of the Minister of the Cabinet and the Minister of Finance.
The Assistant Commander-in-Chief assured Sudanese business owners and entrepreneurs working in exports and imports that all data and documents related to company records and agencies located in Khartoum, which had been destroyed in a systematic manner by the rebel militia, would be retrieved.
Team Ibrahim Jaber directed the acceleration of the networking process to facilitate the procedures related to the business operations of companies, both domestically and internationally.
He praised the efforts made and the noticeable improvement in providing services to the public, as well as the significant facilities in obtaining commercial registration in accordance with the requirements set by the Ministry of Justice and the Commercial Registrar to ease commercial work in Sudan.
On her part, the Director-General of the Standards and Metrology Authority, Rahba Said Abdullah, commended the achievements made by the General Commercial Registrar’s office in recovering the records and starting the networking process.
She noted that the networking process between the Standards and Metrology departments had been completed by 90%, and a partnership was established with the National Intelligence and Security Service and several other institutions and agencies to create the “Beladna” platform, enhancing the network connection between related entities.
The General Legal Advisor to the Commercial Registrar, Ibrahim Mohamed Dreej, stated in a press release that the meeting discussed the issue of linking the “Beladna” network platform with entities related to commercial, economic, security, and legal work.
He pointed out that the meeting also covered the role of the Commercial Registrar in promoting economic and investment development, the importance of refining and correcting the commercial register, and the process of registering company names and business names. The meeting concluded with several recommendations, chief among them being activating coordination between all related entities, reviewing all registered commercial entities, and ensuring that the committees submit their reports by the end of April to transition the work of institutions to e-government.
