Sudan Accuses UAE of Targeting Power Stations with Strategic Drones

The Sudanese government has accused the United Arab Emirates of targeting power stations and water dams in the country by supplying the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia with strategic drones aimed at destroying critical infrastructure.

Sudanese Minister of Information, Khalid Al-Ayser, said during a press conference held in Port Sudan on Thursday — dedicated to discussing Sudan’s complaint against the UAE — according to Al-Muhaqqiq news site:
“Power outages across Sudan are the responsibility of the UAE, which has supplied the RSF militia with strategic drones to strike water dams and power stations. This is further evidence of the crimes being committed against the Sudanese people by this state.”

The minister’s remarks came during a press conference that ironically experienced a power outage while Sudan’s Minister of Justice, Muawiya Mohamed Khair, was reading the details of Sudan’s complaint against the UAE before the International Court of Justice.
