The killing of 10 civilians following artillery shelling by the militia in El Fasher

Eyewitnesses and medical sources confirmed the death of at least 10 civilians due to artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces militia on the Abu Shouk neighborhood in El Fasher city, North Darfur state.

Nizar Youssef, an activist in Abu Shouk, told “Darfur24” that the shelling took place on Wednesday, resulting in the death of at least 10 people, including a woman and two of her children, at a displaced persons’ shelter in a school named after Ali ibn Abi Talib.

Among the victims were also a man in front of the airport mosque in the Al-Nasr neighborhood and six displaced individuals in the Abu Shouk camp. He also mentioned that 7 others were injured with varying degrees of injury, and three water sources in the camp were destroyed.

For his part, a medical source at the medical corps confirmed to “Darfur24” that the hospital received several injured individuals, including civilians, as a result of the artillery shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Forces on Wednesday on residential areas and military positions.
