Volunteers revealed on Saturday that more than 151 civilians were killed and 280 others injured in the Umbada locality, west of Omdurman in Khartoum State, due to ongoing clashes during the current month of April.
A member of the Umbada Emergency Room told Sudan Tribune: “The emergency room has documented the deaths of more than 151 people and the injury of 280 others in the areas of Dar Al-Salam and the neighborhoods of Al-Buqaa and Al-Amiriya in the Umbada locality since April 1 until today.”
The volunteer also revealed that all major hospitals in Umbada have ceased operations due to doctors fleeing the area out of fear of arrest, in addition to a lack of medical supplies in some health centers.
