The 6th Infantry Division in El-Fasher confirmed that displaced persons from Zamzam Camp are suffering at the hands of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), facing inhumane treatment based on racial discrimination. The militia has reportedly attempted to block anyone trying to flee the city, with some civilians being subjected to beatings.
In a press statement, the division warned residents not to leave El-Fasher in order to preserve their lives and safeguard what remains of their property. They also advised citizens not to trust the militia’s calls encouraging them to leave, warning of ongoing dangers.
The division revealed that as part of their daily sweep operations, the armed forces had raided old militia hideouts used for storing weapons, ammunition, and spare parts. The operation succeeded in seizing various weapons including RPGs, DShK machine guns, and Kalashnikov rifles. Although the militia opened fire, the armed forces responded with force, tracked the ammunition routes, and apprehended infiltrators.
