Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding Between Russian and Sudanese Oil Companies

On Saturday, Russian companies Al-Rassi Global Services and Zruich Oil signed a memorandum of understanding with Bashayer Petroleum Pipelines Company in Port Sudan to cooperate in the field of petroleum services.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the Russian company by Alexey Ivanin, Chairman of the Board, and on behalf of Bashayer Petroleum Pipelines Company by its General Manager, in the presence of a delegation from the Russian embassy and a representative of Zruich Oil.

In the same context, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Oil, Eng. Mohamed Awad Al-Khair, signed the meeting minutes with the Russian companies’ delegation and the embassy representative, in the presence of several leaders from the Ministry. The meetings discussed technical and administrative matters to pave the way for a final agreement on various topics, including partnership with Sudapet Company and investment in oil exploration, production, and petroleum services in cooperation with national companies.

It is noted that the Russian companies’ delegation has been in the country for a week, during which they met with several ministers to explore investment opportunities in Sudan, particularly in the petroleum and petroleum services sectors.
