Plant Protection in Al-Jazira Begins Preparations for the Agricultural Season and Pest Control

Dr. Malik Mohammed Abdelsalam, Director of the General Administration of Plant Protection, chaired a meeting in his office this morning with the heads of specialized departments. The meeting discussed the administration’s projects and urgent needs to initiate preparations for the agricultural season and national pest control operations (locusts, grasshoppers, rodents), in addition to launching the work of the pesticide inspection committee in the state.

The Director reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to the success of the agricultural season and to ensuring crops are free from pests that negatively affect production. He called on the specialized departments to intensify efforts during the coming phase.
