Mbappé Ready to Face Barcelona in Copa del Rey Final

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid, currently second in La Liga, stated on Tuesday that French international striker Kylian Mbappé is preparing to return for the upcoming Copa del Rey final against arch-rivals Barcelona next Saturday.
Mbappé missed the capital team’s 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday in matchday 32 of the league due to an ankle injury, and he will also be unavailable for the match against Getafe on Wednesday evening.
The French national team captain was injured in the final minutes of his team’s Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Arsenal, a match they lost 2-1 and were eliminated from the competition. However, he and fellow Frenchman, defender Ferland Mendy, are expected to be fit for El Clásico.
Ancelotti said during a press conference on Tuesday: “They won’t be ready for tomorrow’s match, but they will train over the next few days, and I believe they’ll be available for Saturday’s game.”
Mbappé was booed by some Madrid fans when he appeared on the giant screens at Santiago Bernabéu during the team’s hard-fought win over Bilbao, which restored their four-point lead over Barcelona in the title race.
Ancelotti explained: “Mbappé is upset about his injury because he can’t help the team, but he’s doing everything he can to be ready for Saturday.”
