Announcement of a New Industrial Entity

The Sudanese Industrialists Association announced the establishment of a new industrial entity aimed at bringing together industrialists inside and outside Sudan. The purpose is to find effective solutions to support struggling factories, increase national production capacity, keep up with technological advancements, and utilize the latest innovations in manufacturing. The initiative also seeks to improve the business environment through coordination with official bodies and the banking sector to provide the necessary financing and incentives for industrialists.

Ashraf Salah, former Secretary-General of the Federation of Industrial Chambers, told Al-Ahdath that the creation of this entity is to fill the institutional vacuum caused by the suspension of professional unions, federations, and the Employers’ Union. The goal is also to set industrial economic policies and restructure the distribution of industries based on each Sudanese state’s comparative advantage, while enhancing the competitiveness of the national industry through facilitating import and export processes.

The new entity aims to become a globally recognized body capable of supporting Sudanese industry in international forums, following up on financing and investment facilitation issues, developing modern processing and technological industries, encouraging industrial integration, and promoting a culture of teamwork through the Federation of Industrial Chambers. It also seeks to form preparatory committees to manage the upcoming phase and hold fair and free elections, while attracting national expertise to support the sector and implement mechanisms to coordinate government efforts and launch financing initiatives in cooperation with local and regional banks to support industrialists.
