Sudan’s Ambassador to Ankara, Nader Youssef, on Wednesday launched the fifth Turkish aid ship since the outbreak of the war.
The ship, organized by the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), carries 1,605 tons of aid across 110 containers, including food, shelter supplies, clothing, and hygiene items.
The launch ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Mersin Province, a representative of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation, and the Director of the Sudan Program at the foundation.
Ambassador Nader praised the support of the Turkish people during Sudan’s wartime crisis and extended his gratitude for the continued assistance provided by Turkey—both its government and its people—during these difficult times.
It is noteworthy that Turkish humanitarian aid to Sudan has now reached 10,000 tons since the beginning of the war and continues to grow.
