The Sudanese army’s media office in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, announced that five civilians were killed and 17 others injured in heavy artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces militia targeting various neighborhoods in the city.
The army media added in a statement that “the armed forces responded to the attack and inflicted heavy losses on the enemy.”
