
Member of the Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief, General Shams al-Din Kabbashi, emphasized the importance of developing media strategies and programs to keep pace with advancements in the field, and the necessity of unifying internal and external messaging to expose conspiracies targeting the country and to highlight violations committed by the terrorist militia against civilians and state infrastructure.
During his meeting today in Port Sudan with Minister of Culture and Information Khalid Al-Ayesir, Kabbashi praised the vital role played by media institutions as key arms in the Battle of Dignity, in support of the armed forces and their allies. He also paid tribute to the media martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The Sovereignty Council member affirmed the state’s commitment to supporting media institutions and overcoming all obstacles hindering their work, enabling them to report events transparently and impartially.
In a press statement, the Minister of Culture and Information said the meeting discussed many national issues, especially the media’s role in the Battle of Dignity. He indicated that the discussion covered ongoing military developments and emphasized the military institution’s determination to liberate all Sudanese land from the rebel militia.
The Minister confirmed that the state is operating under planned programs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information, to strengthen media support for the military institution within the context of public backing for the armed forces in the Battle of Dignity.
He pointed out that the media’s role is receiving significant attention from the leadership of the Sovereignty Council.
