Sudan Cotton Company Board Meeting Discusses Agricultural Season Funding
The Board of Directors of the Sudan Cotton Company, represented by Mr. Abdel Rahman Al-Shoubli and the company’s General Manager Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim Abu Alama, met today with farmers of the Al-Rahad Agricultural Project to discuss how to fund the current agricultural season in light of the losses caused by the war.
The meeting emphasized the importance of finding solutions to irrigation problems in the project and repairing supply lines destroyed by the rebel militias.
It also stressed the need to restore irrigation lines to ensure the success of the season.
In the meeting, Mr. Al-Shoubli stated that the initial phase of the season’s funding includes land preparation and the provision of seeds.
He affirmed that efforts are underway to utilize the company’s resources to ensure good production.
He also emphasized the importance of having legal contracts to ensure final accountability through specialized cooperatives.
The General Manager of the company supported the need to mobilize resources and coordinate efforts for the cultivation of the season.
