Civil Service Conference to Launch on Tuesday

The Red Sea State announced the completion of preparations for the Civil Service Conference in Sudan, scheduled to be held from April 29 to 30 at the Rabwah Hotel Hall in Port Sudan.

Acting Minister of Labor and Administrative Reform, Ahmed Ali Abdul Rahman, explained during a briefing conference in Port Sudan that the event would be held under the patronage of Sovereign Council Chairman General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and in the presence of Deputy Chairman Malik Agar.

The minister gave a comprehensive overview of the civil service and its development stages, highlighting its vital role in addressing workers’ concerns and fulfilling their duties.

He added that the conference aims to establish a comprehensive plan as a roadmap for advancing the civil service through performance evaluation and improvement, enhancing state employees’ efficiency, and creating an attractive work environment that contributes to achieving sustainable development goals and rebuilding Sudan.

The minister pointed out that all technical and administrative preparations for the conference have been completed, including the organizing committees’ work, and that invitations have been extended to Arab, international, and regional labor organizations, along with a number of experts and relevant bodies from inside and outside the country.

He also confirmed the participation of state governors, regional leaders, and civil service members from across Sudan.

The conference will discuss specialized working papers covering labor policies, training and employment strategies, the impact of digital technology on civil service development, and the role of ministries related to production and services.

The minister expressed hope that the conference discussions would yield constructive recommendations to drive the advancement of civil service in the country.
