British Foreign Secretary David Lammy expressed deep concern over the violence in the Darfur region, noting that it bears clear signs of ethnic cleansing and may amount to crimes against humanity.
Lammy called on both the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to urgently de-escalate the situation.
In a statement issued late Thursday evening, he affirmed that Britain will continue to use all available means to hold those responsible for these atrocities accountable.
