“Optimistic” Klopp Congratulates Liverpool on Premier League Title

Jürgen Klopp, former manager of Liverpool FC, congratulated his former club on winning the English Premier League title for the 20th time in its history, equaling the record for most league titles won. He also emphasized that the era of success for the Reds is far from over.

Klopp led Liverpool to all their major titles during his more than eight years in charge, including the UEFA Champions League victory in 2019 and the Premier League triumph the following year.

In a post on his Instagram account, Klopp wrote: “So grateful for the past, so happy for the present, and very optimistic about the future.”

He added: “Congratulations to Liverpool… You’ll Never Walk Alone,” referring to the club’s iconic anthem.

Klopp had departed from Liverpool a year earlier.

Meanwhile, Dutch manager Arne Slot, who led the team to the league title in his first season in the Premier League, praised his predecessor. He chanted Klopp’s name in front of the fans after the final whistle of Liverpool’s emphatic 5–1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday, which confirmed their championship win this season.
