Soba Water Station Resumes Operations; Partial Reopening Plans for Bahri and Mogran Stations

The Khartoum State Water Authority announced the resumption of operations at the Soba Water Station on Tuesday, with water supply reaching areas in southern Khartoum and expected to gradually cover all areas served by the station.
During the Supreme Emergency and Crisis Management Committee meeting chaired by the state government’s Secretary General on Wednesday, the Authority’s Director General, Consultant Engineer Mohamed Ali Al-Ajab, urged residents of Salama, Al-Azhari, Wad Hussein, Al-Maamoura, Al-Jarif, Al-Mujahideen, and southern Arkweet neighborhoods to inspect household water connections affected by thefts to avoid damage due to water flow.
He noted that the Authority would present a plan at the next meeting for the partial operation of Bahri and Mogran water stations, in addition to drilling seven high-output wells to serve localities and their specific needs. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to rehabilitate internal pipelines at the Jebel Aulia Water Station.
