Commercial Sites for Khartoum Traders in Wad Madani

The Director of the Land Authority in Al-Jazirah State, Salah Al-Din Al-Madani, affirmed the state’s commitment to expanding the establishment of modern markets equipped with all basic services and civil protection measures to help restore the urban landscape of Wad Madani.

During a meeting he chaired Thursday evening in his office with the committee of traders from Al-Jazirah State currently operating in Khartoum markets, he pointed out that allocating commercial shops to these traders is one of the strategic programs of his administration. It aims to stimulate economic activity and contribute to the state’s economic recovery, which has been affected by the war. He instructed that contracts be quickly handed over to traders who have completed the remaining payments in East Madani.

Meanwhile, Planning Director Ali Khalifa announced that the planning stage and map preparation have been completed, noting that the establishment of the market represents a major challenge for the ministry and a turning point for Wad Madani’s neighborhoods.

The Director of the Surveying Department confirmed his department’s readiness to implement the market and allocate the plots to traders.

Najlaa Ahmed Abbas, Director of East Madani Lands, revealed that preparations are complete to hand over the contracts to traders after the remaining dues are paid.

A representative of the traders expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Government of Al-Jazirah State and the Ministry of Urban Planning for their care and commendable efforts in accommodating Khartoum’s traders.
