The National Human Rights Commission reported that 300 civilians, including 15 women, were killed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the city of Al-Nuhud, located in West Kordofan State.
In a statement, the Commission said it “condemns and denounces the violations committed by the RSF, including targeting, executions, and direct killings of approximately 300 civilians, among them 15 women and 21 children.”
The Commission also condemned the looting of markets and the Al-Nuhud Teaching Hospital — the only facility providing medical services in the area. Medical supply warehouses were looted, and several pharmacies were vandalized and destroyed.
The Commission expressed strong disapproval of the RSF’s prevention of civilians from leaving the city, calling it a serious violation amounting to a war crime and a crime against humanity. It voiced concern that lack of access to healthcare and food may lead to increased risk of disease.
