Army Clarifies Details of Militia Attack on Port Sudan Airport

Sudanese Army Spokesman Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah stated that on Sunday morning, the enemy targeted the Osman Digna Airbase, a goods warehouse, and several civilian facilities in Port Sudan with suicide drones.

In his statement, the spokesman added: “Our ground defenses successfully shot down several of the drones, while some caused limited damage, including the hit on an ammunition depot at Osman Digna Airbase.”

The drones triggered scattered explosions, but there were no injuries among personnel.

Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, official spokesman for the Armed Forces, revealed that the Rapid Support Forces militia launched the suicide drone attack on Sunday morning, targeting Osman Digna Airbase, a goods warehouse, and some civilian facilities in Port Sudan.

He said, “Our ground defenses managed to shoot down several drones. Some of them caused limited damage, notably hitting an ammunition depot at the airbase, resulting in scattered explosions. No casualties were reported.”
