
Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, was briefed on the overall situation in the Northern State, particularly regarding security, economic, and social conditions.
This came during his meeting on Monday with the Governor of Northern State, Major General (Ret.) Abdulrahman Abdulhamid. In a press statement, the governor explained that the meeting addressed the state government’s efforts to provide essential services to citizens.
The governor affirmed to Al-Burhan the unwavering support of Northern State residents for the Armed Forces in their battle for national dignity. He also presented an update on the security, economic, and social situation in the state. The governor noted that he received constructive directives from the Council Chairman aimed at enhancing the security and stability of the region’s citizens and providing practical solutions for all service-related issues in the state—especially the energy crisis.
He added that his government is making commendable efforts to explore alternatives such as solar and other renewable energy sources, in addition to advancing efforts to complete the electrical interconnection project with the Arab Republic of Egypt.
