Enrique: Dembélé Ready to Play Against Arsenal

Spanish coach of Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique, confirmed on Tuesday that his star Ousmane Dembélé is ready to take part in Wednesday’s second leg against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, after recovering from an injury he sustained in the first leg.

Enrique said: “He’s been training with us for two days. You could see him today… it was a normal training session for him. He will be available for tomorrow.”

Dembélé participated in training on Tuesday for the second time since recovering from the injury that forced him off during the first leg in London, in which he scored the only goal.

The number 10 stepped onto the Campos de Poissy pitch (Yvelines) and began his training session without any signs of pain.

Dembélé, who scored the winning goal at the Emirates Stadium just four minutes after kickoff, was substituted in the 70th minute due to a thigh injury, which kept him out of PSG’s 2-1 league defeat to Strasbourg on Saturday.

PSG issued a statement reassuring fans about their winger’s condition, confirming that “the strain in the right hamstring is progressing positively.”
