IFAD Announces Continued Support for Sudan’s Livestock Sector

Sudan’s Minister of Livestock, Mohamed Haroun Mohamed Adam, praised the efforts of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in supporting the livestock sector in Sudan.

This came during his meeting on Monday in his Port Sudan office with IFAD representative Ahmed Gaber Sabahi, Country Office Advisor, and the lead coordinator of IFAD projects in Sudan, Adel Osman Idris.

The meeting discussed the projects IFAD has provided in Sudan in the field of livestock, including ongoing projects that have been affected by the war.

Haroun emphasized the importance of fruitful cooperation and coordination between his ministry and IFAD to contribute to the development and advancement of the livestock sector.

For his part, the IFAD Country Advisor affirmed that the organization remains committed to supporting projects related to livestock in Sudan.
