Darfur Regional Governor, Minni Arko Minnawi, stated that the United Arab Emirates’ targeting of airports and vital infrastructure in Sudan—executed via the Rapid Support Forces militia—not only aims to harm civilians but is also a systematic attempt to disrupt humanitarian work, hinder the operations of international organizations, and block the delivery of urgently needed aid and relief.
In a tweet, he added: “This is terrorism and a full-fledged war crime. The continued silence of the international community and humanitarian organizations operating in Sudan raises many questions.”
